Virtual Course on Selected Topics in Financial Inclusion for CAPTAC-DR in Costa Rica

The CICDC presented its first virtual course for the IMF’s Central America-Panama-Dominican Republic Regional Technical Assistance Center (CAPTAC-DR) in Costa Rica on December 7–18, 2020. The course on Selected Topics in Financial Inclusion was delivered by staff from the IMF’s Institute for Capacity Development. It was conducted in Spanish and included case studies on regional issues such as digital finance and remittances. Thirty government officials from seven countries (Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama) successfully completed the course. CAPTAC-DR Coordinator Mr. Lisandro Abrego expressed his appreciation to the CICDC for making the course possible and looked forward to continued collaboration between the two centers.
