Course on Financial Development and Financial Inclusion (FDFI) in Georgia

The CICDC once again collaborated with the IMF’s Georgia Training Program (GTP) to present a course on Financial Development and Financial Inclusion (FDFI) in Georgia. The course was held on February 17– 28, 2020, at the Academy of the Ministry of Finance in Tbilisi. It was taught by staff from the IMF Institute for Capacity Development and the Joint Vienna Institute, and attended by 29 government officials from 10 Belt-and-Road partner countries. CICDC coordinator, Ling Hui Tan, participated in the opening session of the course where she emphasized the importance of financial connectivity in the Belt and Road Initiative and highlighted the IMF’s policy priorities in this area, including supporting financial inclusion and harnessing the power of fintech.
