Virtual Course on Economic Issues in Regional Integration (ERIv)

November 9-18, 2020

The CICDC presented a virtual course on Economic Issues in Regional Integration (ERI) on November 9-18, 2020. The course was taught by staff from the IMF Institute for Capacity Development and CICDC, and attended by 27 officials from the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and other agencies. NDRC International Department high level counselor, Li Bin, and CICDC coordinator, Ling Hui Tan, welcomed the experts and participants in the opening session of the course. This was the first delivery of the ERI course for the CICDC. Participants learned about standard forms of regional integration—benefits, costs, and economic policy considerations—and discussed their application to the Belt and Road Initiative.
