October 10 to October 14, 2022

The CICDC presented a virtual course on Current Issues in Banking Supervision and Regulation from October 10 to October 14, 2022. The course was delivered by Mr. Lyndon Nelson and Mr. John Sutherland, external consultants of the IMF. The course was attended by 28 participants from China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission, China Securities Regulatory Commission, and People's Bank of China. The course explained the roles of the key parts of the governance of a bank, explained the inherent stresses and strains within all governance structures, looked at key supervisory approaches, and provided a guide to the questions supervisors should be asking in particular areas of governance. The course was highly received by the participants.
