Virtual Course on Current International Issues in Tax Law Design

November 28 to November 30, 2022

The CICDC presented a virtual course on Current International Issues in Tax Law Design from November 28 to November 30, 2022. The course was delivered by staff from the IMF’s Legal Department. 30 participants from State Taxation Administration in China and 16 participants from relevant government agencies in Algeria, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Djibouti, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Republic of Korea, Sierra Leone and Thailand attended the course. The course touched on a wide range of issues on the agendas of today’s tax policy makers, especially cross-border/international, base erosion and profit shifting, and avoidance of income and consumption taxes, including in light of the recent OECD/Inclusive Framework two-pillar agreement on international corporate taxation. The course was highly received by the participants.
