September 11 to September 15, 2023

The CICDC presented a BRI course on Fintech Market Development and Policy Implications in Dalian Training Center, from September 11 to September 15, 2023. The course was delivered by staff from the Institute for Capacity Development Department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) onsite. 18 participants from National Financial Regulation Administration, China Securities Regulatory Commission, the People's Bank of China, State Administration of Foreign Exchange, as well as 7 participants from relevant governmental agencies in Pakistan, Malaysia and Thailand attended the course. The course provides an overview of the source and nature of Fintech as well as general regulatory principles, discusses about three Fintech areas that are rapidly developing in recent years and explores possible regulatory responses. Participants gave their final presentations on Fintech developments and regulations in their home countries at the end of the course. The course was highly received by the participants. 

The CICDC Director Mr. Hui He attended online the opening ceremony and delivered opening remarks.
